Any way to stop the “A new skin has been installed…” pop-up bubble without turning off all of the Windows XP pop-up bubbles?

Erm... Not sure. The feature was implemeted because there was no feedback whatsoever when you installed a skin by double clicking it. And I must say that was an improvement.

I don't understand how that bothers you? It goes away on it's own and doesn't interfere with operation.

With the setup that I use in the day time it’s actually bothersome that it pops up (without going into too much detail). And yes, it goes away, but on my “day time” setup I have to wait for the pop-up to go away before I can continue down the page, and when downloading a bunch of new skins that little 3 to 5 second pause gets annoying pretty quick.

… and, it’s a preference thing…
