My suggestion is if you haven't touched it in 10 years throw it out.

Quoting ALMonty,

First you have to see if it's still there.

That's only when a mirror is handy.... otherwise I'm just seeing how far my chest has slipped Southward.

You been away a good while?

Nah, really this thread is about a missing person that we know to be ill, Kona.

We'll miss you when you're gone....

I'm still alive and kicking...... though I can't kick as high as I used to.  Yup, that Arthur Itis has a lot to answer for.

Anyway, I've not been around as much due to being very busy packing and organising the move to Tassie... then unpacking once we got here.  It has been a very time consuming and expensive move, but I'm so glad we did it.  The heat up there in Queensland is stifling and now we're enjoying temps ranging from 5c to 7c overnight to around 15c during the day.  It's usually warmer than that at this time of year but we're currently in a bit of a cold snap.  Suits me though.

Not only that, the smoke from all the bush fires wasn't the best, so breathing up there could become somewhat laboured at times.  My sister is telling me that it is much worse since we migrated here.  Besides, my son and daughter can no longer bother us.  Both are addicted to ice and only ever wanted me for money and whatever else they could get.

The pair of them owe me about $10 grand that I'll never see, so finances will improve for leaving them behind and cutting the ties.  Worse still, they both are violent and nasty these days, especially when I refuse to give them more money, and that's not what I signed up for all those years ago.

Yeah, some might think I'm being too harsh on them, but they're both big enough and ugly enough to fend for themselves.... if they so chose to.  Besides, I'm just too old to be tolerating their bullshit.

No unpacking or organising today, I'm taking the day off to recuperate and relax a bit.  Don't know when I'll next get back, but at some point I will.

Tough Love is hell but we still love them all the same. Way to go. Stay strong.

I don’t believe Ross was originally from where he was last posting about being.  Unfortunately, I think this is his Obituary:

https://www.hancockfuneralhome.net/m/obituaries/Ross-Anderson-2/Memories

He was on WC a few days before the date of death, and was quite regularly on up to then. He also mentioned that he was 66 in one of his posts.

We have lost far too many from the community, and most have been from cancer.  I know this post isn’t what anyone wanted to see, but it may give closure.  He did write in one of his posts that if you didn’t see him for awhile, you would know what happened.  I can’t imagine that he wouldn’t have kept posting if he was still able to.

Is NY where he's from? I know he lived in Philadelphia in West Chester.

Edit: The Hancock Funeral Home is in Philly.

Uvah was a great friend to me and cheered me up many a time when I was feeling down.  In fact, I'd call him a best mate because of his great nature and willingness to share.

It is sad to know of his passing, and way too soon.

RIP Ross, you will be sorely missed.
