Can't find a certain kind of automatic wallpaper changing program
Tuesday, July 15, 2003 by DagoDawg23 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Hey all,
I've looked all over and can't find an automatic wallpaper changing program that will perform the way I want it too. What I'm looking for is a program that will change to an image depending on what time of day it is. All I've been able to find are ones that change at certain time intervals, and not depending on what time of day it is. What I'm trying to do is take a bunch of photos from the same location at different times of day, and put them into a program that will cycle the photos in order to coincide with the time of day (i.e. the photo from 5pm will show up at the same time on my computer, reguardless of when the program was started) Has anyone come acorss a program thatwill accomplish this? I know it must be possible, but am not enough of a programmer to write my own. Thanks for any help!

That link is bunk. The program just does the same all the others do...change the wallpaper at a specified time interval, ie every hour. What I need is a program that changes the wallpaper according to what hour of the day it is, so if I start the program at 10AM, it starts switches to the "10AM" image, and if I start it at 6PM, it switches to the "6PM" image...still no luck finding one that can do this...

try not to take that tone with someone just trying to help. anyway - go here
http://www.jsiinc.com/subf/tip2600/rh2657.htm
then use windows scheduler (if your using windows that is, if you were up to using linux you wouldnt be asking this question) to run the program with your differing pictures based on time of day.

Or, maybe learn how to take charge of your own PC and, not have a some silly "wallpaaper changer" do it for you.
Oh and listen to Mr Cavanaugh, about being a bit more gracious.
