A Dumb Question...(about Icons)

For some reason I feel as if I've gone brain-dead. But how do you change the Icon for an Application (.exe). With every other file, I get that Icon tab in the properties page and I can change it with IconPackager. When I go to properties for an .exe, all I get are the version numbers and whatnot. I feel as if I *SHOULD* be able to change the icon easily. Did my brain just quit on me?

hehe...I like people with a sense of humor, WOM. Imagine if none of us existed? Yikes! 
As far as the icon's go, I still can't seme to change an icon for any exe files...still dunno why...

One way to do it, is open the .exe with IconWorkshop, (or something similar)....... you can modify the icon and save it. I think you can change it with ResHack also. But be careful, you can break the program.

Reply #9 Wednesday, June 18, 2003 12:17 AM I just posted a very similar question here a couple days ago...and sttroopers is right...just create a shortcut on either desktop or quicklaunch, then change the icon there. I tried to change it on the .exe file, but the "Change Icon" button was not available.
