Start10 - very high CPU during search

I tried Start10 on Windows 10 1809 LTSC. I noticed very high CPU usage while typing in the search field. Meanwhile the Windows built-in start menu was fast without using any noticeable CPU power. Like night and day really. (quad-core i5 desktop)
I uninstalled Start10. Anyone else having noticed this behavior? I ran the "scannow" command which didn't report any problems.
I haven't had problems with Start10 in the past. Thinking it might be the LTSC edition which lacks Store, built-in Store apps, Edge, Cortana and maybe Start10 assumes those things should be there?
