confess to using pirate WB

Friday, June 13, 2003 by I.R. Brainiac | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I must confess that i came across Window Blinds thru a bootleg copy of the software.I quickly became enthused with the product and decided to try a skin myself. After spending a lot of time at the wincustomize website i feel i have found my internet home.I decided that i must contribute to this neat product and skinning community. What an interesting internet subculture.I will be purchasing this product.I apologize for using the pirate version at all.If this gets me temporarily barred i understand.I have customers of my own who havnt paid so it may be a week or two.

More than likely, styl, you'll just scare them and they won't go near the product.

Nobody would take a "this is a threat, but if you buy our product, we'll stop" seriously.

Aqua: Let's hope Apple stays away from the PC forever. They already screwed up the best operating system (NeXTStep) and we don't want them to screw up the worst even more.

Darwin runs on x86

Thankfully (yet again) nobody cares.

If you can't afford a Mac, then forget it. Get Linux. The Open Source community allows you to have software for free or for very little money legally.

I grew up using Apples, then Macs from '846 to '94, '94 to '97 was a transition time for me, and have been using IBM Compatables excusively ever since.

There are many things I love about Windows, but many other things I love about Macs. ObjectBar, ObjectDock, and various themes have eased the situation, but many programs for Apple are simply done better than they were for Windows. They're both about equally functional, but on Windows, attractiveness and ease of use was never a factor in program interfaces like it was on Apples.

Well thats the "DREAM" of the os ppl but sadly from what I here, including from sources that do use it, the anything and everything for free bit isnt really holding true.

Anyway to the person who made the post glad your going to pay and come clean, would of been a bit more of a TADA if had already paid then you confessed to clear soul hehe but still good. I don't really hold to warez myself..I have dl a few programs where the shareware was so crippled you couldnt get a true feel for the app but each time tested decided and bought or uninstalled.

I don't use a mac right now. I have been using my ol 500 mhz celeron system for about the last 2 months.

And I wish OS X would run on a PC...

I guess I should just forget about Mac altogether and be happy with Linux as my Windows alternative.

"Let's hope Apple stays away from the PC forever."

I hope that Apple develops an OS for the PC. I hope that other companies develop an OS for the PC. The more OSes for the PC the better. Capitalism works best with competition. Competition brings higher quality and lower prices. I don't want to see Windows being the only OS available. I believe in the freedom of choice.

If you want to talk about Macs, start your own thread instead of hijacking another.

Thankyou.

Speaking of pirates ... the Oranda CursorXP set has already made it on a couple of sites this Sunday!!!

Why ANYONE rips a pissy (in monetary terms!) US$8.95 suite has got me tossed .... just because they can I suppose.

Wombat takes time off from reporting on BB to stalk the rippers ....... and BTW, what's with the runtime errors and the little yellow guys??

As for Motorola, they pulled nearly all of the R&D budget quite a few years ago for their CPUs. They've switched from the computer market to the mobile device market.

Apple will be switching to IBM and AMD chips, but these chips will be based on the Power PC, not the x96 family, so OSX still won't run on most people's computers.
