| I have the same problem. My system tray icons will not show up. Doesn't matter what I try and it happens with all my skins. It isn't the actual ObjectBar program that is causing the problem, because it was fine before I had to reinstall WindowsBlinds because of the expiration of that program. So I suspect it has something to do with WB. |
I am having the same problem with my task-bar today after installing WindowBlinds. I had to reinstall because of the expiration of that program. You see the icons on Windows task-bar. What are you supposed to do to correct this problem?

GG, i am not familiar with this problem.
so, these ideas are just off the top of my head guesses.
i presume you are running WB 3.5x, and are not running winXP
are you running OB? if so, does unloading it help?
if you are not running OB, then does this happen in all WB skins?
have you tried turning off taskbar skinning in WB?

c:\program files\common files\stardock
ok how do i go about getting it

a) use the old component manager to download and install OB. this normally includes trayserver.exe
c) try the standalone exe install of OB beta, and hope that installs trayserver.exe
i dont know of any way to get trayserver via Stardock Central.
if need be i can email you trayserver.exe, and i can also tell you the reg key to make. however, the reg key bit requires you are ok to run regedit. DONT do that if you dont know what you are doing with it.
there is no email in your profile though.
you might want to email [email protected] and point out that you are having this problem. maybe they can offer a better solution. if they can, i would also like to know what it is.

do you really mean taskbar items? or do you mean system tray icons?
if it is the system tray, have you tried a reboot? if it is the taskbar, have you configured (or played with) taskbar filtering rules?
does this problem effect all skins, or only some?
