the "you get what you pay for" statement is something you see here every now and when, but that´s rather questionable especially in terms of software. there are so many freeware/Open Source programs that outdo their payware equivalents.

I was just pointing out that WB would answer his need. His question was how to get the console skinned with msstyle. Well, you can't. But Windowblinds can. So I think I answered his question.

True in some cases, but not in this particular one. In skinning Windows, there are no free alternatives that outdo Windowblinds. You get what you pay for, and more. You get a whole lot more from Windowbinds than the ridiculous 20$ it sells for.
