Large images in shellstyle

Somehow I am not able to let the large images display in the my documents area's. Treetog's sage and mormegils toon work fine with these displays, but when I replace their images with my bitmaps somehow the display is not working. Why Oh Why...

16 bit works fine too, no higher tho, plus those images can be any size for lower right images.

It doesn't work for me...Did a properties check on treetogs bitmap, which was a 24-bit one.

I copied his bitmap in my skin, no luck...copied my 8 bit bitmap into his skin, also nothing displayed...Restored the sage image in his bitmap and voila... Very strange. I must be doing something wrong

I am fighting with that too. I really can't find any rule when or when not the pics are displayed...

I have seen this problem also, try closing the window, re-applying the skin, then opening the window again and then the image should be there. Sometimes they don't show up right away.

If had mixed success with the large image too. Couldn't get it to work at all in one skin, works like a champ in the next. And I have no idea why.

What no images at all?
Sure you have it set in My Computer Advanced Properties, as i made this mistake while back.
This be in Performance Settings "Visual effects, processor scheduling, memory usage, and virtual memory" 4th checkbox from bottom of list "Use a background image for each folder type"
As those images can only be 8bit or 16bit to show, they will just be white if 24bit and higher.

Hey Lecrayon, glad your still around. I have had som strange Skin Studio happenings too. When I look at the code for skins that work and see the same code as mine I get so frustrated because I have no idea where I went wrong.
I still can't get the change color thing to work.
Go to the news group for windowblinds or windowblinds binaries and maybe they can help.

My point was that sage and toon work flawless VF, checked the bitmap properties, and when I copy those into my skin and copy mine into their skin, the large images aren't displayed. However their skins work flawless, and I presume that the settings for WB go for all WB you apply. And my large images aren't displayed. I am glad some others have had that same thing happening, I feel not so dumb now...

the only suggestion I have (other than the news groups) is to just replace the images in Sage with your own. You know Sage works, so nothing should happen if you change the image to yours... technically.
If that works just replace every image in Sage with your own. Then, after everything works, you can change the names of the image to whatever and change the location text name in the code and all should work.
