use T/M and kill CursorXP....while you're there click on 'performance' tab and tell me what your CPU reads

CPU is good and means there is no problem with anything running in background. The problem is either WB or CursorXP, Reload WB and not CusorXP and see what happens

let's be sure...go to mouse config or config cursorXP in start meun and disable or load default..just so it doesn't load on restart. Reboot and get the gun ready

everything seems to be running just fine now that I have my default cursor. I even reloaded window blinds and seems to be fine

I think we might be ok now thanks for sticking through this with me. It's a shame though I have some pretty cool cursors

I assume you rebooted...reload WindowFX and if everything is OK make sure you enable load on startup.....I'm looking something up on Cursor....try the FX while I read

everything is responding perfectly. Should I un-install Cursor XP then purchase the download separately. Apparently the one that came in the pac isn't right

everything is back to the way it was except Cursor XP and everything is fine. Do you think it was a specific cursor that I downloaded that made the problem because now that i think back it was around the time I started using a specific cursor that I started having problems. I would have never guessed a frickin cursor almost caused me to machine gun my system

I just set up a new cursor from cursor XP and deleted the one I was using. Everything seems to be just fine. Must have been that particular cursor. > Bad cursor > Just want to let you know I learned a little about troubleshooting today and I appreciate it greatly. Just hope to be able to return the favor some day.

sorry about the delay...something trashed my harddrive and I had to reload my system....I love when that happens. Now...ahhhhhhh...where were we...oh yeah..CursorXP version should be 1.30.013. You can get it thru SDC or the Stardock Site. I have CursorXP Plus and it's well worth the money. I'm really glad that everything worked and now I must go to find out what trashed me....see ya on the flip side

I just read both your posts...my guess is that yes it was the cursor and not CursorXP...but I still think you might like the Plus model ....and yes it is the small things that get the guns out. So when you troubleshoot start small and work your way up to the huge.
