my cd burner runs roxio 5 and always loads two cd directs

as i said in the the sting title roxio likes to load two copies of direct cd exe which runs my cpuu at 100% but if I open task manager and turn that process off my processor runs not much higher then 24 % any buddy ever have this problem and or got any ideas?

sounds like it may be loading from two different places in the registry?

Uninstall Direct CD. 
I often read of weird problems with it under XP, but maybe they solved it with the 10th update or so. (?)

also disable XP's built in burning... also made by roxio but I have experienced issues right click on your burner drive in explorer and one of the tabs will have an option to disable windows burning.
