Veeeeery Frustrated!!
Wednesday, April 9, 2003 by Gadget Girl | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
This evening started my computer,it loaded up and everything was fine. I checked my e-mails,went on google for a while. I noticed after a while the top bar skin for WB disappeared and I now have the classic skin only but my task-bar skin is working fine. You can open Windowblinds and change the skins but only the task-bar changes.I am using WB 3.50.
I also logged on in Stardock Central and it told me my Object Desktop has 24 days remaining before it will expire, when in fact it really expires in July.
I cannot log in to the site like before. I t keeps sending me to Galactic Civilization home page. I also cannot change theme manager, it just wont change.
The message board (discussion) in Stardock Central says that they were all updated 61 days ago!!
EVERYTHING was working PERFECTLY this morning! Now EVERYTHING is in chaos and I didn't touch a thing. I am so frustrated and angry right now.
I had a whole set of problems similar to this about three weeks ago. What is going on!! Please help?

wombat_1, that is not good advise. Component Manager is being replaced by Stardock Central. Stardock Central has also become quite solid in the past week (as it is nearing its released state). If anyone has problems with SDC, they need to report them so that we can fix them. We can't fix things unless we know that they are broken.

snarph- It is always joy filled with anticipation when seeing your new work!!!
GG, several of us are in different time zones to stardock support
so, there is always someone around.

feline- As of yet, I still have not received help from Support. The sent me confirmation and said they would be in touch with me within 2 working days. Nothing yet!!!!!!
I find that you get much more support and information here than Stardock Support!!!

pipowell had said something about the system clock at the beginning, so I checked and it was true, my clock was set in the month of June!! The minute I changed it back, I closed SC and deleted all my cookies again.I logged on again
with SC and almost immediately everything was fine. In *discussion* every thread went from 61 days last viewed to, up to the minute.
I downloaded Windowblinds again and everything started working perfectly!!
My expire date is July 04, 2003.
I truly do not know what happened the night but I would like to apologize for my *EMOTIONS* in the first post! I was very mad at the beginning because I have had a lot of trouble with Stardock Central in the last few weeks.I still can not use WebBlinds.I sent an e-mail to Stardock Support and as yet have not received help for WebBlinds.

What version are you running?
WebBlinds support is typically handled by the lead developer unless it is a very minor issue. They usually have to reproduce it before they answer. If it has been more than 5 business days and you still have not gotten an answer then please send it again.

KarmaGirl- About 3 0r 4 weeks I posted a thread about the problem I was having. The thread became quite long with full of suggestions but something had seemed to work.I also sent an e-mail to Stardock Support at the time and explained the problem as best I could. They e-mailed me back about 2 days later and asked what OS I was using. That was it! I e-mailed them back and told them it is WINDOWS ME. I have as of yet(more than 3 weeks)not heard from them.
I decided to download it again yesterday and it still does not work. I have un-installed it again.
The problem is when I enable WebBlinds I can't go on the internet. I have once or twice been able to get on but my whole computer freezes when I go into WBlinds options.
I can only go on the internet through Stardock Central.
I also did what it says to change your skin to classic and then go on the internet. Maybe I am doing something wrong.Could you please tell me what are the right steps to do? I would appreciate any help!

From day one in fact!
I keep getting login hassles, the upgrades are behind the time line on CM and it tends to want to fight with CM!
All the usual solutions have been tried and result in a temporary fix ...today's solution seems to be tomorrow's problem.
CM doesn't seem to be broken, so why replace it with a less reliable 'fix'?
Change just for the sake of change is not really a good idea.

wombat- I didn't know you could use the two at the same time? I was told to delete one (mainly CM)
There are differently pros and cons to both!!
