How to play MPEG-2 on windows 10

Since I am using Windows 10 some of the Deskscapes won't work since Windows stopped using codecs so how do I get these to work with reliable codecs. I found Windows 8 codecs but was re flagged by my antivirus even though it is a Microsoft website.

After updating my computer with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, I cannot play the Deskscapes animations. 

I attempted to download the codec package you mentioned, but my Norton AV flagged it as dangerous....and removed it.  Is the Mega package the one to download, and will it "play" all my Dreams?

I'd be inclined to suspect Norton has flagged what is known as a 'false positive' ...simply because Norton is quite good at getting it wrong.
