SARS - Ack!
Sunday, March 30, 2003 by Aaron W. | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
A friend of mine along with his family have been quarenteened, and another friend of mine was hanging out with the potentially-infected friend... Should I be worried sick like I am, or just relax?
I hear it kills about 5% of those infected, but does it kill random people, or just the young, old and/or weak?
The fear keeps me awake...

What I can't seem to find out is whether the people who have it and *haven't* died get better, or are they still being treated and continue to have the disease?
I've not really read anything about anyone kicking the illness and going on with their lives. Anyone know?

They talked a lot about the disease in what I read, but not so much about the survivors. I have a 6 year old and my wife works in a hospital. I have a chronic illness myself, I take Immunosuppressants, and I visit the hospital fairly often too.
, my ears tend to prick up when something nasty and contagious goes around.Reply #17 Monday, March 31, 2003 12:48 AM

Its already half around the world. If you did hang with people who are infectet, I should go to the hospital.
Only if it was to be sure...
