Three Questions
Start 8, ModernMix, Decor 8
Wednesday, September 2, 2015 by winstar4 | Discussion: Object Desktop
1.) Start 8 - I have several Start 8 activations / keys. Will they work on Start 10 when I install it on the computers that I am upgrading to Windows 10? OR should I install Start 8 on the Windows 10 computers, activate it, then do the in program upgrade to Start 10?
2.) ModernMix - Object Desktop Manager has offered me an upgrade to ModernMix version 1.22 for sometime now. However, it will not successfully upgrade. For a while I got an error msg. Now when I try to upgrade it, it just flashes and closes with no action taken. Any suggestions?
3.) Décor 8 - I upgraded one of my computers to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. I had several Object Desktop programs installed on 8.1 (including Décor 8). My upgrade to Windows 10 was the option to keep files and programs (not a clean install). Obviously there is no Décor 10 (yet). My lock screen is stuck with a Windows 8 wallpaper and I cannot change it. I do not want to do a clean install of Windows 10 (at this time). Will there be a Décor 10 that will fix this problem? If not, is there a way to change my lock screen wallpaper (the options to do so are greyed out under Windows 10 settings).

Thanks RnD, I uninstalled Decor8, but the lock screen won't change, and the options to do so are still greyed out. I guess the incompatibility with Windows 10 corrupted that setting somehow.

I totally understand the uselessness of hindsight, but I think I would have uninstalled Decor8 before upgrading. As a matter of fact, I did so. I also deactivated all Stardock apps before the upgrade. Reactivated after.
I hope you get it sorted.

Run sfc /scannow from an Admin command prompt
It should restore the default. . It does so for logon screens on 7 and prior.

2) Object Desktop Manager is buggy. Download your apps from your Stardock Store Account.

3) Try uninstalling Decor8?
