Where are the moderators?

Wednesday, February 19, 2003 by Green Armani | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Just wondering if you are suppose to get the e-mail of death.....I mean the e-mail letting you know that you have been moderated anymore? I submitted a wall http://community.webshots.com/image5/1/97/99/64119799jGbtwJ_fs.jpg and it was pending on "my skins" page but disappeared. Didn't get an email letting me know it sucked like I have in the past, so I uploaded it again. This time it's gone again and I guess it really sucks since it didn't get posted the second time. Just wondering if you "moderators" are getting lazy.

Nah. Refining a project to make it something you like more (you already /did/ say that the blobs looked out of place,) doesn't make it second rate. If anything, it makes it more complete (and sometimes complete means taking things out.)

Depressing you?

Ack! I'm just trying to point out that you'd probably be happy if you did that instead of just tossing the picture aside. Sorry. :/

In all honesty I'm not really depressed all that much. But how about this.....http://community.webshots.com/image5/4/5/75/64140575oSTkgH_fs.jpg

My wife's only attempt at Bryce. I think it's cute.

Green_Armani....that's the sort of 'dime-a-dozen' Bryce work that doesn't get approved.
If we did, there would be tens of thousands of them by now...[I kid you not]...

Trust me I wouldn't even think about maybe trying to possibly going ahead with actually attempting to force myself with seeing if this ever made it. My wife is upset that I showed the world her image. I guess I have to remove it now

The 'Still Trapped In Bryceworld' wall was a living example of how some of the 'best' graphic proggies around can still be trusted to create horrible results IF the artist doesn't take sufficient 'care' with the work's creation.
Point and click generic results are 'fun' in a novel sort of way, but ultimately we'd all like to be as profficient/adept as people like Nuvem, who seems to make it appear 'effortless', when in fact it requires a lot of practise and a wee bit of 'talent'...

The 'Bryce' part of my wall began as a 'disaster' which somehow didn't generate as expected, and rapidly went down-hill from there.
I could list all of the 'don'ts' that I 'did' in creating the end result, including not one, not two, but THREE lens-flares....five or six totally different fonts, etc...but it's all a bit 'sad' because 1000+ people have downloaded it....

Green_Armani: sorry, but Bryce landscapes are rarely accepted, unless they are truely exceptionnal. Sorry, but that lanscape you sent a link to would not have a chance.

Not to be harsh, but I would agree with Paxx.. I've sent several that used bryce with alot mroe detail and they didn't get in. Bryce is a click and put app. That's why I've been using alot more programs and been messing with Possitive and Negative things in Bryce.. I got to say, with neg and pos it gets more interesting.

No prob guys, I'm sure you both have made more impressive landscape images This was actually my first way back in December around when I first got Bryce.

Absolutely not. I don't need to have done Bryce landscapes before in order to tell if one is better than another. Besides, lanscapes in general are not exactly Wincustomize's "style", dare I say.
