My fiancee just pointed out some stuff that were on the news and stuff. Chemical warefar and everbody should prepare for this. What in hell did I miss? Supposely this has been going on for several days to prepare for it. Something about a 3month's storage of food, etc. Anybody have a clue what's going on?

Ah, duct tape is an all purpose fixer upper so it's always good to have on hand. 
But as for sealing up one's house with plastic sheeting, might as well tell people to build bomb shelters in their back yards again for all the good it'll do if there was something really serious going on.
All one has to do is consider the containment measures used by the CDC in their labs and then figure if plastic sheeting and duct tape really would suffice. (BTW, AFAIK, ricin is a poison that has to be ingested orally. Not suitable for aerosol type dispersion like some other stuff.)

I like at it this way if they do a terrorist attack, it won't be our homes... yeah... im gonna drop a chemical bomb in street in between two houses... no... they are gonna go for somewhere where their is alot of people at once... like they did on sept 11... hurt as many people as you can... that's the way they think... they would somehow get the chemical weapons by city halls... and big office buildings... they wouldn't be able to get DC. too packaged up... but other big citys... LA, New York, Seattle, and such... that's what I think... but I am personally worried about our allies, my real bet is that they are gonna do something bad in Britain... because they havn't hit brittain yet... that's just my opinion...

That's true da_zman, that could be possible. Anything is possible. By what I read, they still think Bin Ladin is still alive. I think they killed him or he ran out of air in his tank.

I worry about schools mostly, kid's...
They have to know what kind of an affect that would have, then again if they hit a kids school people would come un-glued and there would probably be a demand for an over abundance of dirty blaskish gray sand melted glass mixed with mirror and hell with oil...

Feb. 13 — A key piece of the information leading to recent terror alerts was fabricated, according to two senior law enforcement officials in Washington and New York.
The officials said that a claim made by a captured al Qaeda member that Washington, New York or Florida would be hit by a "dirty bomb" sometime this week had proven to be a product of his imagination.
The informant described a detailed plan that an al Qaeda cell operating in either Virginia or Detroit had developed a way to slip past airport scanners with dirty bombs encased in shoes, suitcases, or laptops, sources told ABCNEWS. The informant reportedly cited specific targets of government buildings and Christian or clerical centers.
"This piece of that puzzle turns out to be fabricated and therefore the reason for a lot of the alarm, particularly in Washington this week, has been dissipated after they found out that this information was not true," said Vince Cannistraro, former CIA counter-terrorism chief and ABCNEWS consultant.
It was only after the threat level was elevated to orange — meaning high — last week, that the informant was subjected to a polygraph test by the FBI, officials told ABCNEWS.
"This person did not pass," said Cannistraro.
According to officials, the FBI and the CIA are pointing fingers at each other. An FBI spokesperson told ABCNEWS today he was "not familiar with the scenario," but did not think it was accurate.
Despite the fabricated report, there are no plans to change the threat level. Officials said other intelligence has been validated and that the high level of precautions is fully warranted.

my guess is by the time we find out we need to use duct tape and plastic, it'll be way too late.
I pity the people who duct tape themselves in and forget that carbon monoxide can kill too.
Of course batteries and water are two things any coastie should have on hand anyway, so I guess I'm as prepared as I'm gonna be.
