Smile, sit up straight, life your head, lift your eyes.
Take a long deep breath, and SMILE.

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in
whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from
experience that the greater part of our happiness or
misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our
circumstances."

have an agreeable taste rather than those which do not.

Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat lots of chocolate!

The lovely thing about being forty is that you can appreciate twenty-five-year-old men more. ~Colleen McCullough

There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them. ~Sylvia Plath

Real words to live "better" by.....

Antioxidants such as vitamins C and E have long been touted as protection against free radicals--molecules that damage cells and tissues and contribute to disease. Now lifting weights appears to be a weapon against free radicals too. This is great news, not a pill, just lifting weights on a regular basis...

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul,
And you can do this if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

healthy words....to live better and longer by...

Artichokes even if they had the
nutritional value of mallomars, I would still
eat them...but, as it turns out,
they are very healthful and even show promise as a way
of preventing cancer.
Artichokes contain silymarin, a flavonoid that has
powerful antioxidant activity. Silymarin is widely used
in Europe as nutritional support for the liver.
