So I have decided to upgrade to XP, but which one?

I have decide to upgrade to XP, but I'm not sure which one. I have W2K Pro now, but should I do an upgrade to XP Pro or should I go with a clean install? If I should go with a clean install, which one should I go for XP Pro or XP Home? I am very confused
...please help me!

that I didn't need the extra features in the Pro version so I bought the home edition instead.
Also, if I had it to do over, I would buy the full version instead of the upgrade simply because it is a pain to first
reinstall ME and then upgrade it to XP.

I wish I could find it for that much. I have been shopping around and the cheapest I have found XP Pro Full version is at NothingButSoftware.com for $219.95.I have thought about the XP home, but I have had W2K for 2 years and have never had one problem out of it and they say that XP Pro is built from 2000 so that's what's pulling me toward pro.
About the upgrade...I don't have the W2k CD itself, all I have is what's on the gateway system restoration kit that came with my comp when I bought it. Will that work? If so, I'll for sure go with the upgrade version instead of the full version and save some money.
Okay, here I go again getting confused.
Thanks for yall's help

), I don't really need Pro. I don't do any networking or anything like that. All I do is surf the web and spend a lot of time customizing my comp, so I guess XP home it is!
It'll Save me my hard earned money anyway. Have one more question though. Is XP Home as secure as Pro? I like the fact that I can lock people out of my comp with W2K
. Can you do that with Home? Thanks so much yall!

I guess I would be what is called a "power user" so I tend to go toward stuff with a little more options biult in. Pro has that. Also keep in mind that this is a purchase that you will keep for a little more than 2 years. You might just want to use some of those features in Pro.
Even with all that said, it still looks like you should get XP Home. It is probably the better option for you.
