Anti-troll 101
Friday, January 24, 2003 by Angel_Wings | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
These are not cyber-war tactics (
)…these are just common sense/courtesy/decency type tactics that if properly deployed could do this forum a world of good:When a troll starts a thread:
IGNORE IT. Don’t respond…it just PERPETUATES the thread no matter how good your intentions because you bring the ‘troll’ thread back up where it certainly doesn’t belong.
REPORT it: Rather than responding you can right click on the ‘mother thread’ link and save the link and forward it to an Administrator whom can remove the link if it’s repugnant or rude etc.
REMEMBER: A troll wants attention…ignore him…and he leaves…keep giving him a trail of crumbs and he’ll follow.

You have to understand, what you wrote really struck a nasty chord with me and it stung and hurt more than most words do...usually I'm a total smart@ss and could care less what folks want to bounce off of my behind but that really dug in and my heart still feels a lot of aftershocks... Maybe to you what you said was nothing but to me it reached down into my chest and ripped my heart out...
Angel_Wings has had many people betray her and forsake her and abandon her... it hurts when words like that are idly strewn out.
