have you guys been to deviantart.com... why don't we use an icon system like theirs where everyone can upload their own image a certain size, why not make it the size of an aim buddy icon, then their will be millions to choose from or make your own... and it's about the same size as a windowsxp user icon... so authors can have those cute little logos you see in thier screen shots just my idea... i'd love to see that

ok, this was just a little overreacted post but it ain't no controlable, the comes by that (as far as i know) evry user had to have a diffrent icon 'code' hehe, :'smiley styl skinner library':

Many moons ago it was suggested we could in the future have our own personal icon instead of the skinbrowser icon. Any more thoughts on that?

There is no plan of replacing the icon, yet. The admins that do that sort of thing are quite busy right now.
We have no plans of having the personal images like DA. We don't need anything more added to increase bandwidth and slow down the site.
For the "special" icons, all of them but two are owned by the Admins and Wizops (Chinas and Doreens). Both of those ladies have been in the skinning scene for a very long time (longer than me) and they got the icons when WC first opened. In contrast, me (being an admin) got mine only a few months ago after I cried enough to Treetog and he made me one.
I would vote for a "Blushing" icon, though, if I were to choose.

I'm not suprised you want a blushing icon the amount of time you spend being covered in chocolate and/or naked

Usercons would be cool, they work well for static links to user libraries, or email, info page, on some other sites.
I will say that WinC works well as it is and anything new is extra frosting on the cake though
