I'm not a skinner.  I have a simple way of deciding whether or not to buy something.  Is it something I need or want?  Do I feel it's worth the money.  If I answer yes I make the purchase.  If not, I don't even if the only sticking point is price.

If I was a skinner I don't know at what price I would initially sell a product.  I do think that if I have not made any sales after a period of time I might drastically lower the price in the hopes of getting new sales.  At that point my choice would be zero dollars at the old price or some money at the new price.  Yes, there are some who will simply wait for the price to be lowered but since they would not purchase at the higher price anyway, I lose nothing by the later discount.

Hi,all i have been using windowblinds for many years now but have only resently started to buy masterskins.The $5.95 masterskins i thought were good value for money.I also asked why they had jumped by so much money instead of maybe $1 increase.I bought my first higher price skin this week and i think this will be my last at that price as its just too much.I dont think its right that this topic should be stopped as we have the right to free speach.The answer of "If its too much dont buy it"is utter crap,we have the right to give feedback on all matters including price.This sort of price hike can only serve to encourage Piracy.Everything has a value and value meens different things depending on weather you are buying or selling,i just think that the new prices can only harm future skinners.As far as iam concerned i,m done and will not be buying any more skins at that price.

My first thought was that is a bit much, but a quick check on how many free skins I had downloaded by the same person changed my mind, divided by the total number of skins it is very cheap for all the work involved in making them.

The Suites at a higher price contains more skins than "just" a Windowblinds skin.

I have no qualms about the higher pricing. I do have qualms with buying skins I don't want/use/need in order to get a skin I do want.

I seem to remember a similar argument about my bundling DX themes, widgets, and gadgets together. Some only wanted the gadgets, some only the themes.

I don't use Xion, or Sysmetrix, or Icon Packager. Why would I want to pay for those? I really want the WB skins and walls, but I won't buy the other skins, I don't use them. So be it.

You guys, Andy and Vamps, are doing awesome work, and I do appreciate the work involved, being a skinner and having made a few WBs myself. Rock on, is all I can say!

One more thing. I know I'm not the only one that don't use the other skins, so even though the package is worth your asking price, do you not think you're losing sales for those of us who see no point paying extra for parts we won't use? I know I'm not the only one.

You're forcing folks to either waste money on things they won't use, or do without your awesome work. I'm betting that it'll bite you in the ass in the long run.

yes, i wasnt interested in the rest of the package on the $9.99 skins, all i wanted was the windowblind, as i have plenty other premium iconpackages i have bought and other cursors also and walls and whatnot, that i could have matched up even better myself, so that stopped me from buying any of the 10$ skins, i would have gladly payed the normal $4.95 or $5.95 for just the blind..... even tho its only 10 bucks anyways... lol its not going to break my bank in any way at all.... but it's just the principle of it.... not saying anything bad.... but adding extras to your blinds that im sure others would have skinned for you for free like they always did in the past, just to hike the price up an extra 5 bucks.... meh, not for me, and not a very smart move either.... but hey wtf do i know right... lol

yes it is neone6, altho correct me if im wrong, but you have never before made suites here as far as i know, just windowblinds.... seems you just jumped on the boat with vampothika after she released her 2 suites..... but hey wtf do i know anyways.... lol still great work

The current price. Vamp & Neone6 latest are worth the price too.  Considering the time and effort that goes into making them, I can understand the cost.  

Not an accurate assessment unless you make it from the time of promotion to master, going forward. 

about 2 weeks ago I got round to buying cursorFX so there was a load of free cursors there not to mention blinds and other things 

John, so is it safe to say, that we shall never see another blind from you again?
