Snow or Leaves falling on desktop?
Monday, October 20, 2014 by Lawn_gnome0000000 | Discussion: OS Customization
Does anybody know how to make snow or leaves (a custom picture would be best) falling on the desktop? I do not want to make an animated wallpaper or a screensaver. Ideally, the snow would be falling over each window while I am working on the computer. Screensavers do not allow the background to change while the snow is falling and animated wallpapers stay in the background. I would like it in the foreground. Please Help!

Take a look at this app. It's called desktopSnowOK. Maybe it's what you wanted.

Generally widgets and such work in the background behind open windows. If it has an always on top function it might work.

I tried DesktopSnowOK and that is basically what I am talking about. The customization is nice, but I would really like to find leaves. I found another with snow which includes the source code but can't seem to manipulate it to use an image instead of a drawing. I have Googled extensively for an app with no luck besides the two mentioned.

Then you are talking a gadget or small app. I think that is doable and should be available, the only thing is that you have to find it on your own either in gallery in here for gadget/widget or Google for app.
