ain't nothin like the real thing baby, ain't nothing like the real thing... (forgot who sings that song)
but I recently got a mac and that dock is really nice, took me some time getting used to it but I love the fact that the iTune icon sitting in the dock has the controls built right into it, so you can control your music w/o the player in the way.
anyways this looks great Brad, ppl will love this
Doreen goes to peek more at it's features

one thing the real Dock in mac os X don't have is that the clock don't keep real time unless you undock it to the dt, if you made a clock that worked in real time in the dock that would be cool.

Dor: most of us have had external media controls built into our taskbar, windows, and desktops for years

oh be quiet you! hehe
(unfortunelty me always has to be careful what is running while I work so I hardly get to enjoy the toys you guys play w/) cept for short periods and have not lately for awhile but this mac machine thing is very cool, doubt I'll need anything for eyecandy anymore (cept maybe something called "candy bar" that changes your icons, me has to go back and check that again)

but this dock is very neat! I'm having alot of fun w/ it. and this thing Brad has going on looks pretttty close to it!

Koasati is trying figure out what Doreen said about the clock..

....and since Jafo isn't here right now ...... Doreen : don't have = doesn't have.... don't keep = doesn't keep

my clock in the mac dock has been sitting on 6:00 for a few days, so I take it that it does not keep real time... hehe

well that is really good then, I might go throw that on my kids machine later and really take a good look at it in action.

People keep talking about it wanting to be able to make it auto hide and such. I want it to be able to be always on top! Some of the icons will and some won't.

How about giving it the ability to talk with IconPackager to use the same icons?

Will it stay free?
It did crash a few time in Win2Kpro when, in IE6 I pressed ctrl+n to open a new IE. I'd have to say it did that crash 1 out of 10 time. And after the crash, had to re-put the icons and links in > . Lost everything. Beside this point. It's still a great little app.

Actually Doreen, the OS X clock DOES work in the dock. You just have to make sure that it's running.

nope, you can only set the clock running in real time in the "titlebar as text or mini icon" or set an actual oval clock or digital calendar clock running real time on your desktop w/ transparency, once I drag the clock to the dock it stops displaying real time...
