Changing Your Nickname

Ok, I finally got off my lazy butt an added functionality for users to change their nickname. Just go to 'Edit Account' and click on the 'Change Your Email Address' link.
You must choose a unique nickname.

i can change my nickname to lower cases. I get this message:
'The nickname 'carlitus' has already been taken. Please choose another nickname.'

I got the same thing with "sylva". I was wondering if it was actually taken by someone else or if it was just too similar to the one I'm already using.

It is posible Carlitus that you would have to change your name to say, boo the clown. Then change it back to carlitus, but in lower cases. I guess the databse, while it reconizes caps and lower case, it still sees them as the same letter and will tell you it is taken. (in other words even if you wanted you name in all caps it would not work because those letters in that order are taken, by you ironically)
Sylva is probably to common. Try "Sylva the RED"
or "Sylva CG"
Make sure you check with T-man before trying this.

I changed my name to Ryan1664851 and back. That's what I was going on about. I knew it would make no sense when I changed it back.
Well I think it was Ryan1664851, I can't remember. I just randomly hit some keys on the num pad and used that.

If joetheblow changes his name, will it automatically change the name of the virtual jtb thread launcher task (VJTB) that was spawned when Joe's hard drive dumped and he was temporarily hors de combat?
