Hum... so what you are saying is that you initially did not have an internet connection and that you downloaded all the components from the Component Manager from a friend's computer that had Internet access, then burned everything on CD. But when you tried to install everything back on your own computer, you couldn't?
I don't see why not. Maybe Component Manager does require an Internet connection to run, but I'm not sure. But anyway, although it makes it easier, you don't have to use Component Manager to install the different components. They are downloaded as CAB files. You just need to extract the CAB file then run the setup programs (I think most archiving software, such as Winzip handles CABs now).

Much easier to buy the full CD as part of your subscription.
And for sure, the Component Manager is Number 1 useful item!

Have you installed Component Manager on your own computer yet? If not, you should do so. You can get it from https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/cm.html
Then copy all the .cab and .cab.cmi files that you burned onto CD into the Component Manager directory. If you then start CM and click on Downloaded Components, you should see all the apps that you downloaded on your friends machine. Select each one and click Install and you should be sorted.
CM does not *need* an Internet connection to work, but it sometimes grumbles a bit if it can't find one, especially if you click on Available Components (when it will attempt to connect to Stardock to find all the latest updates).
And this, of course, is the whole point of Object Desktop. It's not a one-off purchase, the components are continually being updated and, as Jafo said, Component Manager really is the easiest way of keeping up to date. So, now you have your own Internet connection, use it!

The integration of a full-featured installer/downloader/manager for applying any of the proggies and/or updates is perfect for newbie and experienced, alike.
The versatility of the proggies themselves is merely a bonus....
