Wise, did I ever tell you what inspired me to create 'Indigo'.

I was listening to a recording of Elington's 'Mood Indigo' sung by Rosemary Clooney. About halfway through the skin just came to me.

Funny how the mind works, connecting sounds with images.

motion- thats not the kind of music that I would have thought you listened to! But the old ones can put you into moods easier that the new ones. We do gather inspiration from all types of places. Did you find out why the scrollbar is hidden?

Sorry about that Wise, after my last post I had to go to sleep...work and all, you know.

Yeah, I listen to all kinds of music. Some from what might be considered my 'era' but also much from other 'eras'.

I've always had a love for swing, jazz and blues and for crooning singers like Clooney. Say what you want, but nothing relaxes or puts me in a good mood quite like it.

As for the scrollbar problem...no, haven't figured it out. I'm hoping the thread was seen by those that make changes to SkinBrowser, and maybe when the next version is released the problem will be gone. Well, let's hope so, because I'm stumped!

Hey Motion... Indigo was the first one that I tried out on my new monitor. I love it! It's funny about Jazz. You can find a lot of really nice midis (big name people, too) online for free! And most of them sound higher quality than other midis. You can download a couple of hours worth in no time (or space), they are incredibly small. I have not met a lot of other people that like to listen to that. I don't know why it is like that... so available, and good, and free.

You should hear some of the Hawaiian music... that is pretty great, too. I don't really know what is going on in American music anymore. Most of the time I am listening to Hawaiian music.

I have in my small collection of music Perry como, Andy Williams,Jonnie Mathis plus others. Talk about mood settings. But I grew up with them. I also have some rock from the 50's and up. At this point in life I'am listening to soft Jazz.We haven't figured out the problem either. I think it must be in the program, so don't feel stupid. Also sometimes the answer is right in front of us but we've been looking so hard that we missed it. Who knows. It's still a beautiful skin.

Oh Jafo. I have some CCR. Great group. Also Iron Butterfly, Greatful Dead and others. Remember, I'am a product of the 60's. Where's my baggie.

I have all of the above plus many other artists from the 70's, 80's, 90' and some from today. I have in my collection everything from classical to rock, Billie Holiday to Billy Idol. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic. Why, at times I've even been known to listen to a polka. (the classical ones by Strauss that is. )

I don't think it really matters what the style is, or whether they're 'in' or not. What matters to me is that moment when the artist, the song and the accompanying instruments all come together to create something unforgetable. Something that hits you on an emotional level like nothing else does. When that happens, it doesn't matter if it's an old jazz recording from the 40's or a new pop hit from this new millenium, it's all good.

Thats about the way I feel. I've listened to polka but don't have any. Really don't like it. But your right, if it grabs your emotional strings, then it's good for you.

Someone said once that music is the voice of "God". One psych class I had claimed that that sort of (is the word here epiphany?) is essential to mental health. I can remember driving through the Rockies high on the scenery, I had a VW Thing and always kept the top down so it felt like flying. And listening to music (classical, pop) accomplished bliss.
