Need help with getting the Aero Peek function working in ObjectDock
Tuesday, February 19, 2013 by Philly0381 | Discussion: Docks
Hoping someone from the community can lend a hand here.
Back when ObjectDock Plus came out a function was included to be able to do Areo Peek on running tasks. I was able to set it and use it with no problems. Then I got a new computer and downloaded all of the Stardock software that I had onto it. Ever since then I have not been able to get it working.
This morning I thought I would give it a try again, unfortunately nothing I did helped. I finally decided to uninstall ObjectDock, run CCleaner, reboot, reinstall and reboot again. When I looked at the Stardock Directory it show both Object Dock and Object Dock Plus installed. Another problem surfaced where I could not zoom on zoomer dock. Frustrated I did a System Restore to go back to before I started. Zooming worked again but not Aero Peek. Both versions of Object Dock show as being installed.
Under settings I have checked Enable Aero Peek on running tasks. Is there any other settings that need to be checked?
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1. I wonder if a Windows update might be the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.
If no one has any ideas then I will submit a support ticket.
EDIT: For those you don't know of the function I'm talking about look at the following link, middle of the page 'App-switching made better'

Just got an email from support and they had me run a program that gathered logs and information about my computer.
Not bad for response time, just did the trouble ticket on Wednesday (20th) afternoon.

Just thought I would provide an update to this thread.
I have the Aero Peek function back working on my Windows 7 system. No, I have no idea what may have caused it to start working again. I did get the update to Object Dock Plus and the latest update to WindowBlinds. That may have something to do with it, just not sure but I am glad that it is working again.
I also had not been able to run WEI on this computer. To my surprise with the recent update to WB it show I had one. I thought the reason my have been that I did not have a graphics card and was using onboard graphics.
How nice to have these things back.
