Iconpackager

double icons when making a shortcut

Thursday, February 7, 2013 by profoundemotions | Discussion: Icons

Hi there,

I just recently got the Object Desktop and i would like to say i love it.. I have been working with Icon Packager 5.10 and it worked well until a certain moment when i added my new file ext. icons. I now have an other icon above the other shortcuts that i use in fences. And in a certain way it messes up all the shortcut icons. Why does it do that?

When i switch back to a set that was provided with the software package everything turns back to normal.

Okay as i write this and tried to switch it it seems almost back to normal. Except for my computer and my recycle bin are missing.

Is this a cache problem or in what direction should i look for the solution.

I hope someone can help me with this strange situation.

Best regards,

Patrick

What OS are you running? Can you provide any screenshots of the problem? That would help.

Thanks for your quick reply Wizard 1956.

If it happens again i will make a screenshot of the situation, so you can see what i mean. And i will then notify you so you can see it.

I run Windows XP so it's nice to have a custom windows gui, it give's the eye a new thing to look upon.

Have a great week.

Thanks i will post my situations that i run into and if i find a solution i will reply that too.

It's nice to be here. I will first try out all the apps and then i will see if i can help others with their problems.

I have worked with other icon customization applications so i thought it was the cache.

Do you perhaps know a good login screen editor for xp or higher windows that makes it possible to implement it backwards to xp.

Hope to hear from you.

I'm off to bed now. It's late enough to get some sleep.

Greetz,

Patrick

There are two versions of LogonStudio. You can get the XP only version or the One-size-fits-all version from here.https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/downloads.asp?referer=WinCustomize
