not working at all on 7x64 radeon graphics

My windowfx 5 is not working at all except for the desktop icons options. Running windows 7x64, radeon graphics, intel core i7. Is it a setting I need to change on my pc? Or any other ideas will be helpful as this is getting annoying since it works just fine on my husbands. lol I am jealous!! Thanks in advance. I did send out a support email too. 
I have done everything except the one thing that works i guess.

upon further trials, I have discovered that only burn away animation works. Anyone else with this problem? or know what to do?
