likes and dislikes

Right, had a quick browse and like the following improvemnts

1) Improved user skins browsing
2) smilies on the msg board
3) read and unread

Dislikes

1) no themes! but im guessing thats because its a new design and none have been formated to the current design
2) speed seems to be the same, but here im assuming thats because the site load is heavy at the moment with people looking at the new design

Im sure i'll find more goodies as i browse!

There are themes available in the Options (left side)....now known as Theme manager.

OK - found it. It's with each skins section. I'd still like a global search. But right now, I'm looking at lots of Times New Roman font where there used to be Arial(?) or Tahoma (?)

the lil icon next to your skins to notify you that someone has left a comment on your work is a really nice touch (since I never can remember to check)

Doreen is enjoying that bold feature alot! (maybe too much) hehe

okay now I'm freaking out here, I thought something was weird but it seems the threads load where you left off reading "w/i" the thread, so now my scroll on my mouse can take a vacation?

This is really great...

Oooh, I really like the little envelopes next to a thread, that indicate if you've read it or not. Very nice touch.

Now, time to try the bold out.

A couple questions....

By default, are skins now back to being sorted by updated date, or by upload date?

Am I missing it, or is there not something to indicate whether you've already rated a skin, as there was before?

Updated date. There was a bit of a debate. I requested it be updated date. If someone's abusing the updated date then it's up to the moderators to take action. But we want to encourage skin authors to be able to occasionally update their skins and not have it stuffed in the back.

Imagine if Dangeruss updated his skins, people would want to know that and if they happened to miss the most recently updated that would be a bummer.

I understand your point, but isn't that what the purpose of adding the "updated skins" box was for?

I actually think that this will discourage, rather than encourage many authors to update their skins.

Yeah. Please, updated skins are for the box, new ones at the top of the list. If they really want to know, they'll check. I rarely go into the top of the pile anyway - I use the boxes or am searching for something specific.
