Aston

I've found a shell called ASTON (http://www.astonshell.com) which works as similar as ObjectBar / DesktopX. What I want to know is as follows:

- Does anyone have made experience with the actual version (1.5)

- Why its themes aren't supported here ?

I've played with it a little, and wasn't too keen on it. As far as alternate shells go, it seems to be that Litestep is the best. The reason it's not supported here is that this site specializes in supporting a few products well, there are literally hundreds of skinnable apps out there, and if we supported them all, the navigability of the site would undoubtedly suffer. If you want to check out some themes for Aston, DeviantArt might be a good place to start.

I just installed Aston two days ago on an old laptop to check it out. Looks nice and seems stable so far.

I've seen several say the same as about Litestep, though. So I'm curious to try it out too. But where can you get Litestep?

I clicked on the link in the litestep category next to a Litestep skin, www.litestep.com, and get a portal site with Travel and Gambling links. And I can't find it on download.com or tucows.

Given that both are shell replacements, would it be better just to stick with something like DesktopX? It definetly has a lot more in the way of skinz.
