Theme Request/Question
Thursday, June 28, 2012 by prmadmax | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Hey,
I was wondering how come there has been no CIA/FBI type themes since windows XP?
I would love to have an umbrella corp/CIA/FBI style theme with animated background/screensaver but I cant seem to find any decent ones since 2005 which is no use for windows 7
So is anyone willing to try making one or know of one out there?

I don´t agree with Snowman on this one.
-I think you can pretty much use any logo (as long as you don´t sell it as a masterskin), as it would be considered "Fan-Art"

Wrong...some 'proprietary' graphics are specifically registered trademarks and their copyright is defended VIGOROUSLY...eg just try to violate US College football ... NBA ...Gridiron etc rights and see how far you get.
Whether you do or do NOT intend to 'sell' the work means exactly NOTHING in copyright/trademark law. The breach is 'the breach' irrespective of its intended end.

That's the closest so far to what I'd like.
The logon screen I have right now is https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/logonstudio/9577/
Something along the lines of the MI6 one would be nice. I'd prefer a GCHQ one myself.

I doubt the Feds are handing out permissions to use their 'logos', so there'd be some major copyright issues, unless 100% original graphics were made - that differs from the originals.
The Umbrella Corporation is copyrighted to the movie makers, so the same deal goes for this.
But... I'm sure our handy dandy artists could come up with alterbative solutions.
