How to change mouse hover text color?

Saturday, April 7, 2012 by happyboy7 | Discussion: Beginners

Hi everyone!

I love the updated Windowblind Flash Live System!  The only thing that is driving me crazy is when you mouseover anything, especially in my browser (Pale Moon), it is white text on a white background and is not readable.  This happens in a number of skins.

I have the latest SkinStudio Professional and need to know how to change the white font to black or something readable.

Thank you very much!

Eric

Do you have a screenshot of the elements changing ?

I have that happening too, but I just thought it was the skin.

That'll be under controls > tooltips > background > text tab at the bottom.

Hum... I'm no sure I chose cream text on an orange background, but it works. I hate when people choose "OS Default" as a font or color. Sometimes I'll go through a skin and change every instance I can find of font or color to be something than OS Default.

Me too Liz, I try to set custom colours for the tooltips to prevent that from happening. Although in my next blind I'll be adding sub-styles for both light and dark since I want maximum usability. It's still a new thing for me but I learn quickly . I'm glad you resolved the problem ^^

Thank you very much, roflmfaoo!  I would never have found that setting on my own!!

LizMarr, you're right, interesting cream text on an orange background!  I changed the color to 20 (a dark teal), but it came out cream on orange.  Wonder why?  Oh well, at least we can read it now!

Thanks again!

Firefox ignores the text setting on the tooltip section. There is a good chance that Pale Moon does the same.

Try this:

Edit skin Colours > select Show me the skin defined system colours from the dropdown. Change the setting for tooltip text there
