Why do some videos work and others don't?
Same format video created the same way
Saturday, April 7, 2012 by AllDoneHere | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers
I've been creating videos for sometime now and every once in awhile I get a video that won't work after I've created into the Dream Format. I could create two dreams the same way and one will work and the other will not... am I missing something?
Just today I created a new FracTal the same way I created one day before, the one I've been waiting to post up does not work after I change the format to the Dream format. Both of the Fractals were created by static images and brought into Video Wave and saved the same way or at least they appear to be saving the same way, I choose the format, name the file and press save... most work but it seems no matter what I do to some they just will not work as a Dream file.
What happens after I save the file in the Dream format using the Dream making tool, when I go to apply it with the Configure Deskscapes the program crashes and will not let me choose that file with out crashing, the original file works fine when I set it to my Desktop wallpaper in the WMV format or the MPEG format but will not work after it has been ran in the DreamMaker tool.

I just figured out that the Dreams I've been creating were working, they work fine on my other computer just not on my New one!?!
My new computer, a Windows 7 Home Premium, is what I have been using to create my fractals. All of the videos work fine as an animated wallpaper (mpeg or wmv format), but when I was changing them to a Dream they would not work or crashed DeskScapes program. This morning I copied a couple of dreams from this computer to my old Vista machine and I find out Dreams have been working just not on my Windows 7 box.
The Windows 7 box has no problem running Most Dreams, just not the dreams this computer creates??? If I create the dream on my Win 7 and copy to my old Vista machine they work and have no issue...... OK Now I'm confused.
This does not make good sense. For now when I create a Dream I will copy to my old Vista and try them and if they work great.

No... I'm saying My Windows 7 box is screwy... The dreams that I've been creating work fine on my old Vista computer but I only figured that out this morning when I copied a couple of the dreams to it.
It seems my new computer can run mpeg and wmv files no problem, it can also run Dream format files as well, just not the ones I create on this computer... for what ever reason that is... because those same files that I've been creating work fine on the other comptuer... who new???
For now I'll just have to try the dreams I create on a different computer before I upload. I've re-installed Deskscapes yesterday and it does not seem to have fixed the problem.
Ps... thnx again to all.
