Visions for Windowblinds - RELEASED

Wednesday, April 4, 2012 by LightStar | Discussion: Sneak Previews

Working on bringing over one of my more popular .msstyles to Windowblinds for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Doing a complete revamp and looking good so far I think. Comments appreciated as usual!

I very much like the look of this. Altosa has been in steady rotation this month though . . not sure I have room for another LightStar production.

Startmenu/taskbar is looking snashing, but the other menues are looking a bit... well... bleh-ish, imo.

Very nice work!  There is one part that my personal taste isn't lining up with, though.  The darker part of the gradient on the control panel items list seems a little too dark to me.  It's almost like the thin blue line on the left is casting a shadow on the icons, which make them look like they're almost trying to hide.

This is coming from someone that prefers a good CLI most days, so use as many grains of salt with this as you deem necessary.

CLI?

Command Line Interface.  I miss DOS sometimes.

Like I said, I'm speaking from a personal taste point of view, so YMMV.

Me too, Rosco, me too.
I still highly enjoy bringing up DOS just to mess around with commands - and freak out anyone not having a clue wtf DOS is.

If only I had a dollar for each time I've been asked: OMG?!?! Are you a hacker???
