Windows 8
Ars Technica Article

Ars Technica has written a great article on Window 8. Despite their positive review, I think I will drag my feet on making the change. I have a Windows 7 phone but that does not mean I want the same type of interface on my desktop PC. So far, Windows 8 seems to work well for casual users - searching the Internet and reading mail but not particularly suited for productivity. What works on a tablet does not always work on a desktop PC. I did note that there are "several" apps being developed to add the Start Menu back which may may a difference in my perception so perhaps in time I will change my mind.
For now, I guess I will be like a lot of the XP huggers and hang onto my beloved Windows 7 awhile - maybe a long while.
Looking forward to hearing other people's views.

Thanks, Uvah! I've been watching some of those posts. It looks like Stardock will be on top of things but I suspect there will be others as well. I do love to be up-to-date but I may drag my feet awhile on Windows 8. Dell Stage was enough for me so I disabled it. Dell Stage looks a lot like the previews of Windows 8.

Take your time guy, there's no hurry. A lot can happen between now and the first release. But keep an eye on the forums. Sometimes we get lucky.
