Installing WindowBlinds with self installer on a PC from scratch

Friday, March 2, 2012 by neophil78 | Discussion: Stardock Support General

Hi there,

I have to reinstall one of my PC XP SP3 from scratch (well, most of essential things are already done) and though i just reinstalled WB7 (WB 7.31 build 99 x86)

After a little trouble of activation, WindowBlinds is there but i don't get it through Display Properties / Appearence / WindowBlinds as i used to got .

Is this normal with the self installer version, which may be differently installed that what we got with installation through Impulse ?, or did i get a glitch in the installation ??

Thanks in advance

hi

hmm, i think i would access it through the start menu, programs, stardock, object desktop, window blinds and just make a dektop shortcut(right click and send shortcut to desktop). once it is run and a theme is installed/applied the first time it should now appear in the bottom right by the clock as icon in system tray.

cheers

Yep, i know, but on my other PC, where WB was installed with Impulse, i also had a way to acces it like i told and i just wonder if the new system is normal ...

WindowBlinds 7.31 (build 99 x86)

XP HP SP3  WindowBlinds installed through the store.

I don't see the option to apply WB from  Display Properties.  I do sort of remember it being there on an eMachine w/XP I had a long while back.

OK, so the way it was avaible trough display properties was relative to previous version of WB probably ... (well not a dramatic trouble, i just wonder if it was the right new way )
