Help with saveing Targa files in Photoshop CS

In Photoshop 7.0 I was able to save a "tga" file with transparency just by saving it over save as option. The file would be transparent exactly on the areas as in Photoshop psd file. But now in Photoshop CS I can't do that. The file has a white background add. (I didn't find any options to set the transparency on during the saving process)
How to save without that white background?

You couldn't do that in PS7 either. The transparency in a tga file is defined in the alpha channel of the image. The white part being the visible and the black the transparent. Click the Channels tab (next to layers) and make an alpha channel. Make a selection of your layers and fill it with white and it will work

Well that is not true!! Alpha channel in Photoshop 7 was obviously created automatically. I think that didn’t not quite understand what was I trying to say. But thank you soooooo... much any way I’ll try that

Ha ha ha ha ha.... I did it agin
Here is how I did it:
1. go to photoshop cs folder in program files, go to plugins, and then to file formats.
2. copy the Targa plugin to a safe place for keeping!

3. go to photoshop 7.0 folder in program files, go to plugins, and then to file formats.
4. copy the Targa file from there to photoshop cs directory.
5. if photoshop cs whas open it is recomended to restart it.

And there you are you can save Targas yust as in photoshop 7.0.
