And yes you'll need a graphics editor........ what's best depends on your preference. Paint Shop Pro, and Photoshop are the most used for this kind of thing. There's also The Gimp, Fireworks, etc. etc. Any program that can handle PNG files is fine, but I suggest you stay away from any program that doesn't support layers, as they can be really handy.
