Theme Manager and SDC question

I've been reading the Object Desktop document in order to become more familiar with the program.... at any rate, my SDC and Theme Manager do not look like the pictures in the literature. The pictures of the "Theme Manager" and "SDC" in the manual seems to have different/more buttons and options. It will be a lot easier to follow the instructions if they look alike, so is there some setting that I need to change in order to make them look the same?

I think it is actually the other way around, I have the newest build of Theme Manager, and it looks exactly like the one in your screenshot (the one on top). Theme Manager used to be called WinStyles and has recently been revamped. I believe the screenshots from the ObjectDesktop documentary are a little out-dated and do refer to an older version of ThemeManager.
You can remove a suite by right-clicking on the suite and deleting it, and you can create a suite by clicking on File > New Suite. The settings of Theme Manager can be changed by clicking on Tools > settings.

Languages is my thing not computers but I've become addicted to Wincustomize and playing with my desktop!! Comprende? 
So I'm trying to learn how to work with all the features of ODX by reading the manual. I think the old version was more user friendly.

Aarielle, I don't think there is a completely up to date version of the Object Desktop documentation. Stardock constantly improves its software and releases a never-ending stream of beta-versions. This is very good for us customers as we don't have to wait half a year or longer for bugs to be fixed. However, I think they just can't keep up with adjusting the documentation. If you just downloaded the documentation recently then you most likely will already have the newest version.
Most Stardock programs are pretty much self-explanatory, but if you have specific questions you can always ask them here .

I guess I'm somewhat of an autodidact but since I'm not very familiar with the nomencalture for skinning I'm relying on accurate graphics to help me out.
I already started playing around with icons and animations... they're quite fun.
And, I haven't blown up the PC.....YET!!
I'll be back if I get stuck.

OK I I'm not sure if I have some inferior/older version "Theme Manager".... the one in the manual has three buttons on the left: "Available Suites", "Create Suite", and "Settings", also "Add/Remove" button, "Suite info" button and "Display Properties" button.... none of these buttons/options are on my Theme Manager nor under File or Tools above.
