Neil: I have a tra and ttt using the particle engines. I have set 4, and defined 4 ParticleEngine1,2,4 sections in the tra and 4 EMITT opcodes in the ttt, one each for 0,1,2 and 3.
Engines 2 and 3 don't seem to render.
We will use this thread for feedback on the beta releases for WindowFX 5.

Thank you for your help!
We would need to know the xxxxx values.
Sorry, the error reads 0x690152b0 both times.
Edit: The system seems to be stable other than Explorer crashing on every reboot.
Actually im getting the same thing, same memory address and all! I am happy to report my above black square issue is resolved now so other than the memory issue its perfect! I am on Windows 7 SP 1, using WinFX 5 RC1, Core i7-3770K, Asus p8z77ws board, gtx 580s in sli, 16 gb ram.

I'm having the same problem...love the app...The instruction at 0x690152b0 reference memory at 0x690152b0. The memory could not be written...
I would like to report that I too am getting the explorer crash on shutdown every time, same address as well.
Getting the same explorer crash, different address though: 0x69016fd0.
Unfortunately we have been totally unable to reproduce that explorer crash so we will need more information on what you might be running especially in terms of explorer addins.
Please contact support so we can have you run some diagnostics. [email protected]

Great to see that you guys listen to your customers and added more Compiz like wobbly windows. Now I am excited that I decided to take a shot and purchase this. Stardock, you rule! This was the only reason I even wanted Ubuntu over Windows, because I am superficial. ![]()
Same Explorer crash issue for me...

What explorer addins do you have installed?
Also which WindowFX features are enabled?
I am using directory opus as a windows explorer replacement, but I killed all opus related handles/processes before log off and explorer still crashes. I am also using TrueLaunchBar as a quick launch replacement.
WindowFX features enabled:
All animations
Window management - enable window shake
Right Click Menu (all items)
Movement - window flicks - windows momentum dragging - fade windows
Guys
I have narrowed it down to truelaunchbar on my system. If I remove any custom toolbars from the taskbar the crashes stop!
Not sure if anyone else with the symptoms is using TLB and WindowFX together.
I use no explorer addins, but have most of Object Desktop installed. Could some of the software conflict?
Any news, any luck with re-producing the issue?

Hi, I've just installed the latest WindowFX 5 RC1 on Windows 7 64-bit and every time I shut down/restart the system I get an explorer.exe application error that reads "The Instruction at XxXXXXXXXX referenced memory at XxXXXXXXXX, the memory could not be read." Once I terminate the process the system shuts down and reboots. Any ideas?
Thanks.
