SP2 Xp update, now DesktopX makes the frame of browser resize??

Monday, October 11, 2004 by calibrated | Discussion: Stardock Software

I downloaded SP2 and ran it fine. Then I applied the desktopX program that I had been running with no problems. When I run DesktopX now the frames for all my applications are cut off about one inch from the bottom of my screen. I tried everything I know to fix, but the problem goes away as soon as I turn DesktopX off. Any suggestions. I really like X and want to use them.

Try resetting the Work Area. On the main tab in DX properties, there's a Work Area button, set it to whatever...then set it back to zero then disable it. Just a random guess...try it and hopefully it will work.

That did it THANKS. Somehow the default setting was changed to shorten the screen on the bottom. I turned it off and all is good. I am somewhat new to all this stuff and really appreciate the help.
