Moderators and Stardockians try to not get involved unless there is something egregious going on.

Someone leaving for whateverr reason sucks (unless we kick them out . . Then they can suck it.)

If they want to publicize it they can expect responses from all over the spectrum.  That's how WC rolls.

If you want to use the public forum or the private forum,that's cool too . .as long as it's polite (-ish).

My thoughts?  If you need time away, take it.  I've left for months at a time and once for almost a year.  The good people here brought me back.  Leave your skins in any case; it's a bitch to put them back.

Hey DC, there was a time when I felt like leaving for one or two reasons, but after a couple of months of abstinence I just had to log back in to see how all my friends were doing and find out what was new.  I've known others who did pretty much the same thing and came back after a break, so I suggest you do the same and see how you feel in a week or three... take a month or two if you like.

Now you and I may not have had a lot to say to each other in recent times, but I will say this, some of your posts have given me a good giggle and I'd miss that if you were to pack up and leave altogether.   Besides, Frogboy said some time back that anyone who got in a huff, pulled their skins and left would not be allowed back... and that would be a tragedy if at some point later you changed your mind.

So there you have it, I don't want you to leave, either, okay.

And a factual answer was received in reply 6. Just saying, but yeah, PMing a mod would have been better...keeps down the drama.

Nothing I've seen is an issue....ergo there is no 'need', not on this end, anyway.

No sure if he was wanting to delete skins from WinCustomize or delete from WindowBlinds.  Here is the WindowBlinds way to remove skins:

1. Select the skin in WindowBlinds, (make sure it is not the currently applied skin first though).

2. at the top of the screen choose skin options drop down menu, then choose delete.

3.  confirm and delete is done.

sorry to haven't replied sooner.

  as for deleting my skins no I just needed to delete one as I missed a spot but it was only the one I up'ed at DA. I fix it here but really didn't remember I did. (fix it before up'ing here.) (moon)

so NO I am not or was not going to delete all just the one and to up the fixed one. but do still need to fix the one at DA.

I know I should have add a bunch more words with the OP.

I remember that one quite distinctly. Lost several friends here on that one.

I believe the key factor was "announcing that you are going to leave and delete your skins". In that case the door was opened for them, they were moved out and the door was locked behind them. 

In many ways I understand the philosophy behind that policy now and do tend to agree with it.

Um, no!  Yes, we may have had words around then, but the primary reason was that the forums had gotten decidedly quiet and somewhat boring at the time... then I had some real world responsibilities and some health issues to attend to.
