DesktopX beta "snap to grid" bugs

Wednesday, July 28, 2004 by Mannlister | Discussion: Stardock Software

I installed the last couple DesktopX betas and I using the latest DesktopX beta(2.19[b].002). The problem I have is that I can't freely move my objects around my desktop. Instead, they snap to a grid. I've checked the properties for each object and the relation tab under movement is set to normal. Adjust position is set to automatic. Is there a new feature somewhere that I need to change to stop this from happening? It's driving me nuts!! >

Are you sure its not IconX icons you're moving? Right click on your desktop, "Arrange Icons By", and turn off "Align to Grid" and see if that helps.

i don't have iconX loaded. i'm moving objects and not moving icons around. the objects im moving are the weather objects and simple uptime and time objects. when i move them near the bottom or top of my monitor they are snapping to the edges.

btw, i've triple checked and align to grid is not checked so i'm certain it's not that. when i go back to a previous version of DX everything works fine.
