Batman: Arkham City and ObjectDock 2
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 by ablev2 | Discussion: Stardock Support General
I have a weird problem with Batman: Arkham City and my ObjectDock 2.
When I start the game, this error message comes.
I press retry to debug, but without a result, the game don´t start.
If i close OD 2, the game runs perfectly.
This is the only game with the problem.
What can i do?
Sorry for my bad english.

If what Rosco mentions is not the issue (or even if it is) you may also want to try 'Game Booster' fom iObit. I use it on my PC and my step-sons for gaming.
"Game Booster 3 also allows you to tweak your system for top PC performance. By temporarily shutting background processes and unnecessary Windows services, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance, Game Booster 3 concentrates every little system resource for gaming only."
They have a free and pay version. I've always been fine with the free version. You can customize what processes you want it to shut down and I add OD and my other desktop customizations to the list. It will also turn them all back on when you are done and tell it to. The only issue I have had with it is when it turns Sugarsync back on. Sugarsync crashes every time and I have to restart it myself.

Thanx for your answer, Rosco_P.
Yeah, i have tried to starting the game from the instal folder and from the desktop, but with the same result.
The error comes and the game don´t start.
The game will start only, if i close OD 2.
@PoSmedley, thanx for your tipp, but i don´t want to install an app for one game.
All my other games works perfectly with my OD 2.

Have you fixed the problem?
I was experiencing the same thing and I went into Troubleshooting and checked the System Hooks.
This fixed it for me.

Spam?
I was trying to help him. I had the same problem and it was very aggravating. Hope my "spam" post helped him though.

Sorry about that. Your post had several of the same characteristics that spammers use. The biggest flag was that the thread was a month and a half old. When someone posts on a thread that old, it's almost always spam. They'll often say things to try to look like they're talking about the subject, too, but are usually short, and use phrases that are similar to the ones you used.
Thanks for the post, I'll make sure to remember it if anyone else has the issue.

Sorry, @hirapmagisip, but i´ve forgotten my old thread and read your post until now.
Your tipp is very helpful.
I´ve checked "Temporarily disable all...." , the error is gone and the game runs without a problem.

Many Thanks @hirapmagisip.

Are you starting the game from ObjectDock? If so, try starting it from the start menu or a desktop shortcut and see if the issue persists.
