how to get xmouse to work in windows explorer?

Friday, July 16, 2004 by tealfan | Discussion: Stardock Software

XMouse is that feature in TweakUI that that activates a window (or frame) on mouse hover rather than mouse click. I hope I explained that correctly...lol. Anyway, this also used to work between panes in Windows Explorer. But, now that I've upgraded to XP, it no longer works in Explorer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you download the XP version of Powertoys?

It's working just fine for me.

I thought I did. But, since it works for you, maybe I grabbed the wrong one...lol. Just to clarify, it works everywhere else: when I go from one window to another, when I'm on a web page and I go from one frame to another, etc. But, in Windows Explorer, I like to have the folders pane on the left side open. It doesn't work when I move my mouse back forth between the left pane and the main pane on the right. I'l double-check my download when I get home. Thanks,
