Can someone help me i need to know how to create a boot image with out loosin a lot of the details.

thats the problem when i try to make it 4 bit 16 color it looks awful
i've seen some images that look real good even in 4 bit 16 color is there any secret to it

IR Brainiac....being the Master of bootskinning.... did a tutorial to pass on how he had fiddled with images to improve them...

Number One requirement is that it is in 4-bit colour.....that's 16 colours total.
If an image can be 'dithered' to 16 colour palette and look OK then the Bootskin will be too ...
