Help with Toolbar Icons and Progressive Animations

Sunday, July 11, 2004 by lynnyf | Discussion: Stardock Software

The Toolbar Icons and Progressive Animations that are downloaded separately from WB skins are not working. In fact when I click on the toolbars they don't even show just the name. What am I doing wrong? thanks

This is courtesy of Citizen Lynn Dawson. All thanks go to her. When WB install a new toolbar or animation it makes a sub-folder for it under your WB folder. An example would be \WindowBlinds\Gant Toolbars. This folder name is specified in the .ToolbarIcons or .Animations file found in whatever .wba file the toolbar or animation is packaged in. Well, WB will NOT make a folder name with a space in it! So, when it made the folder name \WindowBlinds\GANT Toolbars (which was the name specified in the .ToolbarIcons file in the .wba file for the GANT Toolbar icons) the toolbar NAME would show up in the WB control panel, but no graphics could be seen. WB actually made the folder name \WindowsBlinds\GANTTOOLBARS! If you simple edit the respective .ToolbarIcons or .Animations file to reflect the name of the folder WB made, then everything works! Good luck! I hope this makes sense to everyone.

When they download they are in their own folder just like any other Windowblinds skin. So I have to rename the same files in a Windowblinds skin that supports both toolbars and animations? Is that what you mean? Thanks for responding
