Loyalty Issue

I have been a subscriber of Object Desktop for many years, My membership number on Wincustomize.com is 96. I have in the past created many themes for Windowblinds. Object Desktop seems to be more for Gamers now and I only use Windowblinds. I have written to Stardock to ask if I could purchase a standalone version of Windowblinds at an upgrade price, as I would not be continuing with Object Desktop for the above reasons. I was turned down. Now if I have a serious crash with my PC I will no longer be able to use windowblinds. I guess that my long history of supporting them counts for nothing. This is very disappointing. I suppose that I will now look to Visual styles to meet my needs.

Why do you think ObjectDesktop is more for gamers now?
Are you perhaps confusing ObjectDesktop with Impulse? If so Impulse is no longer owned by Stardock and downloads for ObjectDesktop will be moving over to a simplified downloading app in the future.

I can imagine the frenzy that would ensue if Stardock started pricing it's products based on an individual's length of membership or one's length of customership, for lack of a better word...

Thankyou Neil. I was unaware of this information. It was Impulse that I was not happy with. Thankyou for the link as this was what I was inquiring about in my original email when I asked for a reduced standalone copy. This makes me very happy. Now that I know that I can carry on with Object Desktop minus Impulse, I will probably renew.

RedneckDude. I was not asking for special treatment due to the length of membership. All I wanted was the software that I have already paid for. Happily, Neil has directed me to where I can find it.

Please be aware that while stand-alone purchases are available on that page, expired subscriptions will not show applications that were only part of the sub. For example, if you bought WindowBlinds 5, it will always be available, but if you upgraded to ODNT and used WindowBlinds 6 or 7 for a while and let the subscription lapse, those versions will not be there.

I see you as #36 If I'm not mistaken, Stardock has run special promotions in the past where you could have gotten wb for $9.95 upgrade.
